Leaps, Tricks, and Turns have been a main part of our training since day one, giving dancers a class that specifically targets the big, important skills within all dance genres. We are shifting gears slightly and adding new techniques into the mix, helping dancers dive deeper into the understanding of their bodies, placement turnout, and all things technique. This class will inevitably help students with their leaps, tricks, and especially their turns.
Lyrical dance classes greatly emphasize the interpretation of musical lyrics coupled with conveying a story through fluid or abstract movement. Consequently, not only will students in these classes learn dancing techniques, but they’ll also refine their interpretation skills. Those interpretation skills can then be employed in various components of their lives, including educational environments.
Initially seen as a rejection of classical ballet techniques, modern dance is now widely recognized as a prominent, independent art form. It can be emotive and has a proud history of rejecting convention. Modern dance focuses heavily on freeform expression. It includes elements of improvisation, performance art, and release technique.
